3. Held our Annual Company Retreat in New Orleans

In October, we traded our desks for the vibrant streets of New Orleans during our annual company retreat. Through engaging workshops, collaborative discussions, and an immersive dive into the city’s rich culture (not to mention indulging in some incredible cuisine), this memorable experience strengthened our team bond and inspired fresh ideas for the road ahead.

4. Achieved a 100% Success Rate for 48C Tax Credit Program Applications

The team at CFS excelled in the first round of the Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credit (48C) Program, achieving a remarkable 100% success rate for our clients. Through our efforts, we secured a substantial $352 million in tax credits for four innovative projects, showcasing our proficiency in navigating the intricacies of competitive funding. In a challenging landscape where $42 billion in proposals vied for only $4 billion in allocations, our team's performance stood out, highlighting our dedication to effective proposal management and expertise in securing funding for groundbreaking initiatives.

5. Created Over 200 Opportunity Reports

We delivered over 200 comprehensive reports specifically designed for our clients over the past 12 months. These reports showcased available and forecasted funding opportunities that aligned with their individual projects, programs, and strategic priorities. Our Opportunity Reports not only provided valuable insights into the dynamic funding landscape but also highlighted distinct opportunities that could significantly enhance the impact of our clients' initiatives. By conducting thorough analyses, we equipped our clients with the knowledge necessary to navigate their funding options confidently, enabling them to pursue discretionary funding opportunities that closely resonated with their organizational goals and aspirations.

6. Established Two Associate Positions

We took significant steps to enhance our workforce by introducing two new associate-level positions to bolster our strategy and writing teams. We welcomed Samantha Strauss as an Associate Writer, whose creative talents and keen attention to detail have already made a noticeable impact on our applications and projects. Additionally, we brought on John Nictakis as a Strategic Planning Associate, whose analytical skills and strategic insight have proven essential in shaping our initiatives. Together, they have been instrumental in providing the support we need to achieve our goals effectively.

7. Expanded our Writing Team

In addition to hiring Samantha, CFS welcomed another full-time member to our writing team: Cindy McGuire. As the Vice President of the Private Sector, Cindy brings an extensive and impressive background that enriches our approach to proposal management and has greatly enhanced our ability to pursue more opportunities on behalf of our clients. Cindy’s diverse professional journey has played a pivotal role in creating and refining new systems that we have recently implemented at CFS. With all that she has contributed to our team, it’s hard to believe she has only been with CFS for a year!

8. Created a Custom Database for Competitive Funding Opportunities

Due to the increased volume of new funding opportunities, many agencies and offices began to develop their own unique platforms and application portals, making it more challenging to identify a comprehensive list of funding opportunities. In conjunction with Bantel Services, LLC, the CFS Strategy Team developed a proprietary centralized database of grant opportunities, pulling sources from multiple federal, state and local agencies. This effort will provide CFS clients with the most up-to-date information on newly released discretionary grant programs as they are announced.
